Exciting New Teen and Children’s Life Stewardship Curriculum Coming in 2012!

After researching what is currently available for children and youth on this topic of life stewardship, we have found an amazing absence of resources. Because of this, we believe there is both a great need and a massive market for such life stewardship teaching materials. Stewardship Ministries’ kingdom-sized vision for the next generation of believers is for them to fully embrace the concept of life stewardship and to adopt a stewardship lifestyle before even reaching adulthood.

Projected Program Overview

The objective of this curriculum project is for students to have an age-appropriate understanding of the concept of life stewardship and to learn how to begin effectively implementing that understanding into various areas of their lives.  Stewardship Ministries’ 2012 goal is to successfully develop the following three components of this curriculum project:

Stewardship Curriculum for Teens: We plan to develop a 6-week curriculum for Junior High students as well as a separate 6 week curriculum for High School students.  We believe that during these teen years, students are moldable, yet incredibly susceptible to the material world around them. The teen curriculum will be an adapted version of the adult life stewardship series. Topics will be centered on the meaning of stewardship as well as an in-depth study of the attributes of a good and faithful steward.

Stewardship Curriculum for Children: We plan to develop three curriculum under this umbrella: 6-week curriculum for preschool which would include children up to 5 years old, 6-week curriculum for early elementary which would include children in 1st-3rd grade, and a 6-week curriculum for late elementary which would include children in 4th-6th grade.  Topics for the children’s curriculum will be centered on the truth that God owns all things, as well as how they should live as good and faithful stewards.

Stewardship-Themed Storybooks for Young Children: Our last project is to write the first six books in a series of fully illustrated children’s storybooks.  We plan to create a character whose adventures are centered on this idea of stewardship.
