“Who’s in Charge Here?”

We routinely hear from small group leaders and churches who are using our Life Stewardship Small Group Series that these studies are radically transforming both their newest believers as well as their most mature Christians – all at the same time. The leaders themselves even admit that they are being deeply challenged and changed by these life stewardship studies. There are many studies that address financial stewardship, but we know of no other study that addresses Life Stewardship as this series does.

To provide maximum flexibility for churches and their respective small group schedules, the Adult Life Stewardship Small Group Video Study is offered in two formats – (1.) a series of graded six-week study modules or (2.) one single 13-week module.

Life Stewardship Series Curriculum

Six Week Modules

This adult life stewardship study currently contains seven, six-lesson modules and one final two-lesson module that are graded from the most foundational and basic to the most challenging and “radical.” Because all these lessons are video based, small group leaders will not need to be trained to lead these lessons. The leader simply needs to be able to effectively facilitate the discussion following each video lesson using the accompanying discussion guide provided with each module that can be printed out for use by all participants.

The 100 series modules lay the foundation for understanding the concept of stewardship and begin applying these life stewardship concepts to various areas of a believer’s everyday life.
The 200 series modules expand the application of the life stewardship principles to additional areas of life and address many of the barriers that prevent believers from being good stewards and open-handed givers of all they have been entrusted with.
The 300 series modules address the most far reaching and the most challenging levels of both giving and living the life of a good and faithful steward and the rewards that await those who are “all in.”

These modules are designed to be studied in sequential order and each new module builds upon the teaching and application of the previous modules.

13 Week Format

This thirteen week module covers the basics of life stewardship and then addresses a limited number of life stewardship applications covered in the 100-300 series modules. This one-quarter format may be preferred by churches who have an ongoing adult Sunday School program that uses a quarterly curriculum. This module also contains its own discussion guide that can be purchased or printed out and provided to all participants.

Story from Life Stewardship Class:
A couple who went through the class last fall didn’t give each other gifts for Christmas. Instead they gave money to various charities that do good works all over the world and honored each other. Wanda, the wife talked about how she gave her husband a Heiffer, a dozen bibles, a clean water well and a new school room. She wrapped each one of those gifts up (I’m assuming a picture or something like that) and they opened them all on Christmas morning. She said it was the best Christmas they ever had!
