The Stewardship Minute – Proverbs 23:5
Proverbs 23:5 says, “Cast but a glance at riches, and they are gone, for they will surely sprout wings and fly off to the sky like an eagle.” A man once shared with me that his life goal was to become rich. Slowly year after year he climbed the ladder of success up a sheer cliff. After two decades, he had finally reached the top rung of the ladder. He pulled himself up, anxious to finally see what was at the top. “Do you know what I saw,” he asked me? “Nothing, absolutely nothing.” He had spent his entire life climbing the ladder of success only to realize once he got to the top that it was leaning against the wrong wall. How about you? What wall is your ladder leaning against .Think about it.
